As mysterious as our neighbor is, it is tied to our own very survival and existence whether you like to believe it or not.

The moon has so much influence and power over the tides of the water. What makes you think that we are somehow not effect as well?

We are made up of 60% of water and at time many us sometimes feel the pull and movements in our everyday life such as in our moods, sleep pattern, rates of fertility, and so much more.

It takes 27 days, 7 hours, and 43 minutes for our Moon to complete one full orbit around Earth.

However, it takes our Moon about 29.5 days to complete one cycle of phases from New Moon to New Moon which I will discuss with you here shortly.

Whether you are aware of it or not the moon's journey affects our perspective, emotions, personalities, and our lives. (As I edit this we just finished a Full moon and let me tell you how I became more aware or my emotions). Shit gets real!

By becoming more in tune to the positioning of the moon we are able to enhance our lives and understand more about our own power and life.

In astrology, the sun represents the light, the conscious self, the ego, individual uniqueness, and our identity to the world.

The moon represents your emotions, the shadow we keep inside. The moon pulls on our life source, our mental universe; it is the pull of our emotions, and our judgments.

If you have ever looked into tarot or do tarot readings yourself you may be interested in the Moonology deck cards to aid in spicing up your reads with this amazing deck, which I am a fan of myself (thanks sis).

Brings guidance for those
who act or are attracted by the moon’s nature.

The moon represents our deepest emotional needs and by understanding the moon phases you will be able to hone in on your powers and enhance your life for the better.

Considering that the moon encourages us to look inward, moon-mapping is especially important for inner work. Using the moon’s energetic shifts as a blueprint for planning our goals will help us manifest our best lives.

Why would you not want to understand yourself that much more!

By understanding these phases, we can work
with them to improve and empower every aspect of our lives.

New Moon (Dark Moon)

During this phase, the moon rest between the sun and earth and appears to disappear. That is because the moon’s shadow side faces the earth, rendering the moon invisibility.

The New Moon is a time of new beginnings and fresh starts. Each New Moon, you might want to take the time to set a few personal intentions about what you want to manifest and bring to reality during the upcoming month long cycle.

Waxing Crescent Moon

During the Waxing Crescent Moon, meditate on your desires and send your hopes into the world.

The Waxing Crescent Moon offers a momentum of hope and positivity as we embark on our goals for the cycle.

Embrace the dreams you imagined for yourself and set your intentions at this moment.

First Quarter Moon

This is the time to take action on the intentions that you recently set in the previous moon phase.

There may be obstacles throughout this time but you will be guided to push forward and address and blockages that come your way.

During the First Quarter Moon cycle, it is important to take this time to grow emotionally and spiritually.

Take this time for self-healing and growth. You will be glad you did.

Waxing Gibbous Moon

During the Waxing Gibbous phase, refine and hone in on your hopes and dreams.

Relaxation and analyzing the circumstances around you is imperative throughout this time.

This is the time to be patience and to think of this period as a gestation period to wait & develop patience from pausing on any further action that you have taken in the previous moon phase such as in the First Quarter.

Full Moon

The Full Moon comes 14 days after the New Moon. This phases is great for communication and favorable interaction.

Act on your desire and take action by doing rituals under the full moon to boost any accumulations of hopes and desires from the previous moon phases.

Waning Gibbous Moon

During the Waning Gibbous moon phases, turn inwards and think about any negative energies or habits you would like to eliminate.

Remove anything that is not serving your highest purpose.

Take this time to be grateful and think about your goals and anything you would like to uncross that is hindering your growth so you can continue to move forward in life and advance.

Third Quarter (Last Quarter) Moon

During the Third Quarter (or Last Quarter) moon phase, is it time to release and let go of habits that have harm and constrained you.

Take this time to finish any removal and cleanse any cycles that need to be closed. It is time to continue to rest and remove yourself from destructive relationships.

Use this time to be cautious and address any pending issues that need to be removed during this lunar cycle.

Waning Crescent Moon

During the Waning Crescent moon phase, it is time to give thanks to the all the cycles you have been through and to look back at your accomplishments.

Do not start any new or big projects and do not make big decisions throughout this time.

This phase is about surrendering and a time for rest to recuperate from all the past actions you have taken throughout this lunar cycle and prepare for the new beginning with the New Moon ahead.

Remember: it is okay to feel empty sometime. Take this time to do rituals of gratitude.
